Isn’t this photo interesting? You can find the original Tuesday Trigger post at http://www.moxiefabworld.com/2012/02/tuesday-trigger-chiclectic.html
This bedroom is so not my style. The almost rough black and white blanket with the ornate gold bed frame with the orange and pink toile wallpaper is a lot of contrast and I certainly never would have considered an aqua headboard for this room. Yet, it all works.
To create my interpretation, I started with three backgrounds – one with bright pink embossing powder (which is certainly bright), clear powder over pink & orange ink which came out mostly orange, and gilded gold powder over pink & orange ink which came out mostly gold. I guess the pink ink was too light to show up on the orange cardstock.
The gold along the top is a sticker. Isn't it beautiful? This is the first time I have used this Peacock stamp but it will certainly be used more now. It (she? he?) is beautiful in black and white, imagine the possibilities in color.
Here I mixed the black and white of the blanket with the pink and white of the linens from the inspiration photo. The pink and white background paper was made by spraying dark pink and pearl Glimmer Mist on white paper. Parts of the butterfly were colored in with a black pen. I think a Spica pen would have looked great on this – one more item on my long list of tools (or toys) I would like.
Sorry it is blurred. It looked great on the camera.
Another card using the Glimmer Misted paper. The square image double matted on black and white reminded me of the geometric pattern of the blanket from the inspiration photo.
Thanks for visiting,
Cyndi
