Quilled Wedding Invitation Border II

I made another wedding invitation border for a client.  Maybe I will get around to making one for myself one of these days.

Since the frame was 11 X 14 and there was a lot of white, I had to use specialty paper.  This handmade paper with leaves was given to me by my sister years ago.  I think it was the perfect complement to the design.

The left corner featured daises, the bride's favorite flower.

The right corner featured roses, the other flower used in the wedding.

My camera died so I never got a photo of it in the frame, but it did look wonderful.  The framer at Hobby Lobby was great.

Feathered Flower

                                                               Happy Birthday Vicki!

This is a  special birthday card for my Step-mother, Vicki.  I used feathers from her namesake chicken, Vickie the Chickie, who is molting in winter.  She is one crazy chicken.  So much personality!

Supplies – Red cardstock is from The Paper Company, Background paper is the backside of Strawberry Fields from Cosmo Cricket, Red scrap is also from Cosmo Cricket; Chicken wire stamp is from (I think) Posh Impressions; Buttons & twine are from my stash

Gift Tags

My sister and her family sent wonderful gifts nicely wrapped, but the names were written with a marker on the paper/bag and there was no 'from'.  To solve this problem (it is probably only a problem to me :) I made her some gift tags.

I used scraps of paper, old tags, miscellaneous embellishments, clear Stickles, and some jewels.  I like them so much that everyone may get some for their birthdays in 2013.

Christmas Thank Yous

I love snow but was tired of making winter cards so these ended up very springy.  Also, I had some paper and stamps I wanted to play with.

Peach labels were colored with watercolor pencils for a softer look.

Melon and Corn labels were colored with Copics and a few other markers.

Supplies - Strawberry paper & embelishments and veggie paper are from Cosmo Cricket's "Garden Variety",  Peach background paper and fussy cut glittered peach are from DCWV "The Four Seasons Stack", Melon background paper is some older paper from my stash.  Thank you berry much and produce label stamps are from Stampin' UP, Green cards are Memory Box "Seedling", felt buttons are from Hero Arts.

Snowmen for Christmas

I had some old Hallmark postcards that I cut in half for the background.  The snowman is from Paper Trey Ink.  I colored them in a variety of shades with Copic markers and cut them out – I have very sore fingers now!

The puffy tummy version is made with white honeycomb paper cut into half circles.  The 4-hole buttons are an assortment from my stash.  The 2-hole are from  JoAnn Stores and tied with bakers twine to match the hat color.  My favorite are the clear embossed buttons.  They remind me of snowflakes.
