Chicken Update

Hildegard Pauline is getting her feathers back, although she still has some red skin showing.  Even though I am giving her cat food and tuna for extra protein she is not laying eggs.  I hope we won't have to wait until Spring!

Johanna seems to be molting now.  She is doing it a more practical way though - she loses and regrows them at the same time rather than losing her feathers all at once.  She is down to an egg every other day now.

I had no idea that chickens pooped so much.  They are as bad as the dogs.  Other than that, we love having our chickens, even when I have to go out into the snow to take care of them.
